Every year, millions of people across the country make New Year resolutions. If you’re one of them, this list might sound familiar..
Most of us have probably made a New Year’s resolution at some point in our lives. But, according to statistics published by Website statisticbrain.com and verified by the University of Scranton, Journal of Clinical Psychology, only 8% of us are actually successful in achieving our goal. But that won’t stop us from making the same resolution next year.
Here’s the top 10:
1 – Lose weight
2 – Get organized
3 – Spend less, save more
4 – Enjoy life to the fullest
5 – Staying fit and healthy
6 – Learn something exciting
7 – Quit smoking
8 – Help others fulfill their dreams
9 – Fall in love
10 – Spend more time with family
See yourself there? Here are a few interesting statistics:
- 45% of Americans usually make New Year’s resolutions; 38% never do
- 49% of people have infrequent success; 24% never succeed
- 47% of resolutions made are related to self-improvement or education
- 38% are weight related
- 34% are money related
There’s one more statistic about people who make resolutions that’s very interesting: 39% of people in their twenties achieve their resolution each year but only 14% of people who are 50 and over achieve success. The reasons for that may vary and we’re certainly not going to hazard a guess.
All of us here at NationaLease wish you a happy, healthy, and successful New Year, whatever your resolutions may be.
