NationaLease Holds 10th Young Executives Club Meeting

By July 23, 2014 June 22nd, 2015 Meetings, Members, NationaLease, NYEC

On July 17 and 18 in Indianapolis, IN, the NationaLease Young Executives Club (NYEC) members held their 10th meeting.

The NYEC reinforces the relationships between the current and future leaders of NationaLease.  The group took the opportunity to add a unique supplier-based session to their meeting this time around with a trip to Allison Transmission.  Allison Transmission graciously hosted NYEC members for an expansive look at their product during a visit to their plant in Indianapolis.  After a welcome and introduction, safety protocol, and a history of Allison Transmission, the NYEC members were split into groups for an in-depth look at the production of an Allison Transmission during the plant tour.

Following the interesting plant tour, the group settled in for some Allison product training before heading to a hosted lunch at Allison’s test track.  Once the group had plenty to eat, they had the exciting opportunity to test drive some of Allison’s products in many various lines of vehicles.  The afternoon wrapped up with a tour of the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the group continued their networking efforts while taking in some of the track’s fascinating history.  The group enjoyed an intimate dinner at Harry & Izzy’s in downtown Indianapolis and kept the networking going well after the day’s events ended.

The NYEC reconvened on Friday morning with a formal introduction of the members, which included four new additions to the group, followed by an enlightening Business Outlook discussion where the group shared their experiences in their marketplace, as well as what they’ve been facing with rental utilization and the competition.  The morning continued with fellow NYEC member, Max Bechina, Executive Vice President of Carmichael NationaLease, sharing his experience with natural gas vehicles.

After a well deserved lunch, NYEC members continued their candid conversation with an open discussion regarding challenges they face in sales, management, and operations.  The meeting was closed with an invitation to the next NYEC meeting to be held in February in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  If anyone is interested in finding out more about becoming a part of the NationaLease Young Executives Club, please contact Kelly Kordowski at or 630.925.7726.
