On February 26 & 27th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the NationaLease Young Executives Club Members held their eleventh meeting. The NYEC reinforces the relationships between these current and future leaders of NationaLease.
The group kicked off their meeting with a formal introduction of the members, which included six new additions to the group, followed by an enlightening Business Outlook discussion where the group shared their experiences in their marketplace, as well as what they’ve been facing with rental utilization and the competition. The morning continued with a presentation from Jim Donnelly, Jr., President of All Services Leasing, Inc., a NationaLease Member who joined the group to share his experience on all facets of running a family business.
After a quick lunch on the patio, enjoying the Florida weather, the group dug in their heels during additional open discussion sessions. The group discussed their experiences with disposing of used equipment, selling strategies, overcoming objections, and recruiting techniques, tips and tricks. The group enjoyed an intimate dinner at the Royal Pig on the famous Las Olas Boulevard and kept the networking going well-after the day’s events ended.
The NYEC reconvened on Friday morning with an interesting presentation by Neil Dishman, Partner at Jackson Lewis, who debunked ten myths of employment law and shared some of the pitfalls that can plague companies in regards to employment law. The group wrapped up the rest of the morning with additional member discussion, and closed with an invitation to the next NYEC meeting tentatively to be held in August in Greenville, SC.
