Orlando, FL, May 16, 2025 – Carl Diehl from Hogan Truck Leasing, Inc., a NationaLease Member, of Cleveland, OH, has won the 15th Annual NationaLease Tech Challenge. Diehl was presented with this distinct honor at the 2025 NationaLease Maintenance Managers Meeting at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld in Orlando, FL.
The finalists for this highly competitive event were the top-scoring individuals from each of NationaLease’s nine regions throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as the next-highest scoring technician, on a multiple-choice exam of over 100 questions. The Hands-On Competition, hosted at Hogan Truck Leasing’s Orlando maintenance shop, decided the Top Tech, along with the first and second runners-up.
A graduate of Ohio Technical College, Diehl is an ASE Advanced Level Master Technician. He competed in the TMC National SuperTech competitions in both 2022 and 2023, placing 28th and 20th, respectively. In addition to his regional win this year, he was a regional winner in 2022 and 2024.
Clyde Clinton Weathers III, also of Hogan Truck Leasing, finished as first runner-up, and Brian Peters of Salem NationaLease was this year’s second runner-up. All three have qualified to represent NationaLease at the TMC Annual SuperTech Competition in September.
