As 2018 Winds Down, It’s Time to Say “Thank You”

To be sure, 2018 was a great year for NationaLease and the industry in general, and we certainly hope that growth continues. However, certain problems and issues persist. There still is an alarming shortage of drivers and technicians and that is likely to continue. The ELD mandate and HOS regulation are still causing consternation for some companies as they try to navigate both the threats and opportunities these regulations provide. When it comes to technology, things seem to change faster than ever these days, making it difficult to keep pace with all of the advances in vehicles, logistics, and business processes. Yet with all of that, business has continued to grow.

So at this time of year, I really want to focus on the people who have helped us meet many of our goals. It would be difficult to find a harder-working, more dedicated group of people than those who make up the NationaLease family, including our employees, our NationaLease members, and their employees. This is an amazing group of people, and their ongoing dedication to serving their customers and helping one another is a true testament to our NationaLease values. To them, I say “thank you.”

We couldn’t do the business we do and service our customers without the fantastic relationships we have established with our suppliers. They consistently provide NationaLease with the products and services necessary for us to continue to offer great service and superior deals to our customers. To our suppliers, let me assure you that we value our partnership and consider it a key component to our success.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank those who are the very reason for our existence…our valued customers. Each and every day, we dedicate ourselves to providing the transportation services you need so that you can focus on growing your business. We are grateful for your business and your loyalty and we pledge to continue offering the finest services and programs possible. To our customers, a big “thank you” for choosing NationaLease for your fleet needs.

Dean was named President of NationaLease in 2012 and has been with the company since 2005. At that time, he was part of the National Account team in the Midwest, where he helped grow the National Account Program to more than $447 million in term sales. In 2008, he became Vice President of Member Services, executing a strategy that provided a sustainable competitive advantage to NationaLease Members and growing the membership base. In 2010, Dean became Vice President of National Accounts, leading that team, in 2011, to a record-breaking year in sales.
