Last month, the American Trucking Associations (ATA) hosted the 2021 TMCSuperTech competition in Cleveland, OH.
The Technology & Maintenance Council’s National Technician Skills Competition TMCSuperTech is an annual event held in conjunction with TMC’s semi-annual meeting.
TMCSuperTech is North America’s premier skills competition for professional commercial vehicle technicians. TMCSuperTech contestants come from all segments of the trucking industry, and many are state, regional, or corporate champions.
This year’s competition consisted of a one-day, one-track competition featuring a written test and 11 skills stations, organized in a table-top format. Thirty-four professional technicians participated in this year’s event.
Winners of the 2021 NationaLease Tech Challenge competed in the TMCSuperTech competition. The following winners were:
Nate Olson, GATR NationaLease
Brian Peters, Salem NationaLease
John Norwood, Aim NationaLease
2021 NationaLease Tech Challenge Top Tech, Nate Olson, GATR NationaLease, placed 11th overall. The remaining Tech Challenge winners were not far behind with Brian Peters, Salem NationaLease coming in 12th and John Norwood finishing in 14th overall.
John Norwood Aim NationaLease placed 1st in the Engines and Aftertreatment station.
